Accreditation, Affiliation, and Authorization
Statement on Accreditation
Asia Theological Association (ATA): Teleo University is a candidate for accreditation with ATA and is currently completing a year-long self-study in preparation for hosting the ATA Visiting Evaluation Team (VET) in October 2022. We anticipate full program accreditation by late 2022 or early 2023. Asia Theological Association has 361 member institutions in 33 nations in Asia and beyond. ATA is a member of the CHEA International Quality Group (CIQG) and the International Council for Evangelical Theological Education (ICETE), a global network of nine regional associations of theological schools concerned for the enhancement of evangelical theological education worldwide. See the ATA letter granting Candidacy Status for Accreditation.
In November 2019 Teleo University was granted applicant status with the Association for Biblical Higher Education Commission on Accreditation (COA). ABHE is the International Council for Evangelical Education (ICETE) member for accrediting theological institutions in North America. However, because of Teleo University's international focus with distance education students in Asia and Africa, ABHE recommended and the Teleo University board approved pursuing accreditation through the Asia Theological Association, the largest and most diverse ICETE accrediting association with member institutions in many of the countries where our distance education students live.
